"KC Groups Management" plugin gets several updates lately, newest feature is the "User interface shortcode" ("kcgm_ui"). If you need to allow your members to set his groups on some page/post, place that shortcode there. This allows same functionality like on the profile page.
Also plugin have new notifications messages, new "grouping rules" and is much more flexible, Please check at the plugin's page.
Also I compile a comparison of Basic and Pro versions, would be good to check that too.
